Bethel Track Standouts to Compete in Nationals

MARION, Ind.- Bethel University's San'Darius Coleman and Joseph Skoog will compete next week in the 2024 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Marion, Indiana. The event is from the 22nd through the 24th. 

Coleman will compete in the 400-meter dash. He is currently ranked 22nd in the nation with an "A" standard mark. His semifinals will be Thursday at 3:20 CT and finals would be Friday at 1p.m. if he qualifies. The top eight qualify from semifinals to finals. 

Joseph Skoog is ranked fifth in the 1500 and 15th in the 5000. The semifinals for the 1500 is1 p.m. on Wednesday and the semifinals for the 5000 are 6 :55 on Thursday with finals being at 1 :20 and 3 :55 Friday. 

 Coach Brandon Kilburn commented, "We are very excited about this opportunity. San'Darius will be making his second national championship after qualifying on the DMR team for indoor. Joseph will be making his third after two cross country and indoor runner up efforts. We hope their experience will help us achieve our goals. I am beyond proud of their efforts and performances this season and am hopeful we can cap it off with our best performances of the year."

It will broadcast as many events as possible. Due to the possibility of schedule overlap, there could be some events that are not fully streamed. The end of the current event will be prioritized over moving to the following event.
