MSC Announces Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel's Joseph Skoog and Lee Steakley have been named the Mid-South Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

Lee Steakley – Bethel (Tenn.) – So. –

• Steakley finished 13th in the discus at the Arkansas State Alumni Invitational.
• He recorded a school-record throw of 43.62 meters.
• Steakley's throw is also the top mark in the conference this season.
• He earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.

Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

Joseph Skoog – Bethel (Tenn.) – Jr. – Mill Creek, Wash.

• Skoog finished runner-up in the 1,500 meter at the Arkansas State Alumni Invitational.
• He finished with a time of 3:50.08 setting a school record and earning an NAIA A standard .
• Skoog earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.
