Bethel Adds Intern to Training Staff

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Bethel University Director of Sports Medicine Jason Essary announced Monday the addition of Tyesha Smith as an intern to the Wildcat Training staff.

Smith is a native of Picayune, Mississippi. She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from The University of South Alabama. She is a recent graduate from the University of Mobile where she received her master's degree in athletic training. Tyesha's athletic training experience began at the University of South Alabama as a student assistant athletic trainer. During her graduate years, she had the pleasure of being an intern with Alabama State's Sports Medicine Department. She also had the pleasure working with Encore Rehabilitation at the Mississippi vs Alabama All-Star game, Manning Passing Academy, NAIA Track Nationals, Collegiate Minority Baseball Prospects League and the Reese Senior Bowl.

Smith commented, "I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of Bethel's Sports Medicine team as an Athletic Trainer Intern."

Essary stated, "We are excited to add Tyesha to our staff. She is very talented and we feel will fit  right in with our current staff."
