Special Salute to Sponsors Who Made Leadership Luncheon a Huge Success
MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel Athletics 2023 Leadership Luncheon took place last week in the Vera Lowe for Student Enrichment Boardroom on the campus of Bethel University.
Over 150 supporters, coaches, students and Bethel staff members attended the event.
The luncheon was an effort to raise funds for a men's and women's golf complex. The facility 60x40 building would house an indoor putting green, player's lounge and study area, coaches' offices, simulator and two indoor bays that would hit onto a 250-yard outdoor range. The facility would also include an outdoor natural green with a greenside bunker.
The event was also an effort to raise funds for a football facility that would house the Bethel conference champion winning football program. The building will include locker rooms, meeting space and coaches' offices. This would allow the school to use the current football fieldhouse for the men's and women's soccer teams.
The luncheon and future events of such will also supplement the Dale Kelley Scholarship Endowment Fund.
Highlighting the event were keynote speakers, Coach Mickey Marley, hall of fame high school football coach and author of "Game Ready-52 Takeaways for Winning". Bethel Hall of Fame member, former Wildcat golfer and prominent businessman, Ricky Rosenjack. Author, speaker and trainer Dr. Dale Henry also spoke. Henry has been called on by corporate, government and educational agencies to train professionals.
The event would not have been the success it was without the help of all those who sponsored tables.
