Women’s Soccer Drops Home Match to No. 17 Cumberlands

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats played well defensively Saturday night but could not find the net on the offensive end as they dropped a tough 1-0 decision to the visiting and 17th ranked University of the Cumberlands. 

Bethel dropped their fifth in a row and fell to 3-7 overall and 1-5 in the MSC. The Patriots moved to 8-3-1 and 2-3-1.

The only score of the contest was a 1st period goal by UC's Jayden Boelter at the 19:47 mark.

The Patriots outshot Bethel 11-4 and had an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Bethel's Shanay Ricketts had seven saves in the match. 

The Wildcats will attempt to get back in the win column hosting Campbellsville Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. CST.
