Cats Win Big at Middle Georgia
COCHRAN, Ga. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats ran their record to 2-0 with a resounding victory Tuesday at Middle Georgia State in Cochran, Georgia. Bethel won 4-nil over the Knights.
First period goals by Kalina Stanisic, Johanna Veldhuizen, Paula Pinilla and Hadley Looper gave Bethel a 4-nil advantage after one. Carla Cebollada, Sterre Van Bloemendaal and Audrey LaRue (2) had assists in the period.
The teams battled the heat in the scoreless second stanza.
Bethel had a 23-8 advantage in shots and an 11-4 margin in shots on goal. Bethel's Alicia Perez completed her second straight shutout with four saves.
The Cats return to action Monday with their home opener, hosting UT Southern at 8 p.m. A JV football game precedes the match.
