Lady Wildcats Host Arkansas Baptist with Millie Bryant on Cusp of History

MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats will attempt to snap a rare three-game losing streak with a home game Thursday night versus Arkansas Baptist. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. CST.

The Cats are 4-4. No information is available of the Buffaloes currently.

Cusp of History: Entering the game, Bethel senior Millie Bryant has 989 career points and 509 career rebounds. Only 18 players have scored 1, 000 points or more in program history. She is the 16th Lady Cat to have 500 or more career rebounds. Only nine players have scored 1,000 points or more and grabbed 500 rebounds or more as a Lady Wildcat.

A Head of the Game: After the Campbellsville game, Bethel senior Mickey Head has 1,129 career points. After transferring from Martin Methodist, she has 556 of those in a Wildcat uniform. She has 764 career rebounds and 246 assists. Mickey has 131 blocks at Bethel giving her 224 in her career.

Cat Scratches: The Cats average 68.1 points per outing. They yield 62.0 points per game. Ryann Roberts returns to action after missing the last two games due to an injury. She leads the squad in scoring at 15.0 points per game. Bryant averages 14.9 points while Keely Morrow tosses in 13.5 per game.

Coach Chris Nelson is in his 16th season as the head coach of the Lady Wildcats. Nelson is 333-159 and ranks 15th in wins among active coaches in the NAIA.

Marlow Rockwell is in his first season as head coach of the Buffaloes.

McKenzie's Little Dribblers will perform at halftime. The McKenzie Middle School baseball players will serve as ball boys at the game.

The Countdown to Tip-off Show begins at 5 p.m.
