Lady Cats Open Conference Play versus No. 14 Lindsey Wilson
MCKENZIE. Tenn. -In what promises to be a great match-up between two good teams looms Thursday night in Crisp Arena when Bethel entertains No. 14 Lindsey Wilson. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
It will be the MSC opener for both squads. Bethel is 3-1 while the Blue Raiders are 3-0.
It will be the 17th meeting between the two with Bethel holding a 9-7 advantage in the series. The Wildcats are 5-2 in games played between the two in McKenzie. Bethel is 131-22 all-time in Crisp Arena.
The Lady Cats are led in scoring by junior guard Ryann Roberts who averages 13.8 points per game. Roberts has knocked down 11 three-pointers on the season. Senior guard Millie Bryant averages 12.0 while newcomer Keely Morrow is averaging 11.5 points per outing. Bryant is averaging a team leading six rebounds per game. Bryant and senior post standout Mickey Head lead the team in assists. Head averages 9.5 points per game.
Bethel averages 68.5 points and yields 52.0 points per contest.
Four Lady Raiders average in double figures. Bree Glover pops in 15.0 per outing. Meleigha Oldham averages 14.0 points per game. Sydnie Hall is good for 11.0 points while Amelia Hodges averages 10.3 points per game.
LWC averages 82.7 points while yielding 65.0 per game.
The two coaches in the game have won a combined 988 games in their careers.
Coach Chris Nelson is in his 16th season as the head coach of the Lady Wildcats. Nelson has a career mark of 332 -156 which ranks him 15th in wins among active coaches in the NAIA.
John B. Wethington is in his 33rd season with LWC. He ranks No. 2 on the NAIA's active all-time wins list with 656 career victories.

Two Bethel seniors, Mickey Head and Millie Bryant continue to stamp their names in the record book in their respective careers.
Head has 1, 093 career points. After transferring from Martin Methodist, she has 520 of those in a Wildcat uniform. She has 734 career rebounds and 226 assists. Mickey has 123 blocks at Bethel giving her 216 in her career.
Bryant has 918 career points. Only 18 players have scored 1, 000 points or more in program history. Millie has 481 career rebounds. Only nine players have scored 1,000 points or more and grabbed 500 rebounds or more as a Lady Wildcat. Bryant has 225 assists which is 16th in program history. She has 146 career three- three pointers which is 12th in program history.
