Soccer Cats Beat Firehawks in Pulaski

PULASKI, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats and the UT Southern Firehawks met Wednesday in Pulaski.

The Wildcats prevailed, winning 4-1.

It was the 29th meeting in the series with Bethel now holding an 18-9-2 advantage between the two.

First period goals Horace Avila Jr. and Stanley Grand -Pierre gave the Cats a 2-nil lead at the break. Grand-Pierre was also credited with an assist.

Avila knocked in another goal in the second stanza. Gregory Cousins had the final score for the Wildcats.

Bethel outshot UTS 23-12 and had a 10-4 margin in shots on goal.

Diego Camargo had three saves in the match. 

The (RV) Cats are 2-0-1.

The Hawks are 3-1-1.

Bethel returns to action Monday traveling to Oakland City for a 7 p.m. affair.
