
Career Win 101 for Coach Malang Jarju as Cats Win Third Straight
COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 22 Bethel Wildcats won their third straight with a 4-0 win over Southeastern Saturday afternoon in the Ray Wells Classic in Columbia, Kentucky. The Wildcats beat Spring Arbor 2-1 Thursday in the event.
The victory was the 101st career win for Coach Malang Jarju.
Lindsey Wilson College was the host school for the event.
After a scoreless first period, Bethel's Alvin Oguta scored to give the Cats a 1-nil lead at the 53:58 mark. Juan Pablo Garcia had the assist on the score. Less than five minutes later Bethel's Goffin Oyirworth scored to give the Cats a 2-0 margin. The Wildcats iced the match away at the 77:28 mark on a Gregory Cousins goal. Pablo Ramierz was credited with the assist. Three minutes later, Stanley Isaac added to the offensive onslaught with a goal.
The Wildcats had a 15-7 margin in shots and a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Bethel's Diego Camargo recorded two saves in the match.
The Wildcats moved to 3-0 while SE dropped to 0-1-1.
Bethel returns to action playing Thomas University at home Thursday at 6 p.m.
