Cats in Second Place after First Round of FireHawk Invitational

ATHENS, Ala. – Placing two players in the top five enabled the Bethel Wildcats to have a good showing Monday in Athen's, Alabama. The Cats are second after the first round of the FireHawk Invitational in Athens. The Cats along with eight other teams are competing on the par 72, 6, 774-yard layout at the Canebrake Golf Club.

Bethel trails host school UT Southern by six strokes. Bethel is six over with a team score of 294.

Bethel's Zac Douglas is tied for second after shooting two under 70. Logan Rorie is tied for fourth after a round of minus one 71.

Wyatt James is three over and tied for 12th. Trey Register shot 78 and is tied for 19th. Isaac Holley is tied for 32nd after shooting an 81.

The final round will be played Tuesday at Canebrake.
