Basketball Cats Sign Kentucky All-State Standout

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats have had their share of players from Kentucky who have experienced success through the years.

That tradition has an excellent chance to continue with the recent signing of KCAA All-State performer Jason Leek of Heritage Christian Academy in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Jason is the son of Jeremy and Angela Leek and will major in Business Administration.

The three-year starter averaged 20 points and five rebounds per game during his prep career. He averaged almost 34 points and nine rebounds per outing his senior season. Leek averaged five assists and five steals per game. He led the Commonwealth in scoring his senior season. He shot 51 percent from the field and 38 percent from behind the three-point arc.

Leek was the KCAA MVP in 2023. He was named to all-district and all-region teams in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Jason was named Hoop Classic MVP three straight years.

Leek feels his biggest strengths are his scoring abilities, his on-ball defense, his ability to distribute, and his overall basketball IQ.

Jason excelled in the classroom during his pep career. He was a member of the National Honors Society. He was a member of the Beta Club, Spanish Club, FCA and earned Honor Roll status.

Coach Jeff Britt commented, "We are extremely pleased to sign Jason. He had a tremendous high school career and a great outside shot. He is a great young man from a great family."
