
Cats See Win Streak Snapped at Campbellsville
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. –The Bethel Wildcats saw their four-game win streak snapped Thursday with a 79-75 road loss at Campbellsville.
The Cats led 35-32 at the half but were outscored 47-40 in the second half.
The Wildcats dropped to 16-9 overall and 4-6 in the MSC. Bethel is 4-6 in road action on the year. The Tigers improved to 11-15 and 2-8.
It was the 14th meeting between the two programs with the series tied at 7-7 after the Tiger victory.
The Wildcats shot 44 percent from the floor and were 5-of-21 in attempted three-pointers. Bethel was brilliant from the foul line hitting 18-of-19 free throws.
The Tigers shot 46 percent from the field and hit eight of 21 three-pointers. Campbellsville shot 29 free throws and hit 21 on the night.
Bethel outrebounded the Tigers 33-22.
Chaucey Hughes III led the Cats with 19 points. Brayden Nunnally followed with 18 points. Trevor Chatman finished with 14 tallies.
Cam Vick had a game high of 30 points for the Tigers.
The Wildcats return to action Thursday hosting Georgetown in Crisp Arena.
