Cats Host Blue Raiders

MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Wildcats, fresh off their home win over Campbellsville (82-79) play host to the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.  The Cats are 118-46 all-time in Crisp Arena and 6-3 on their home court this year. 

The Cats are 10-7 overall and 6-6 in the MSC.

The Blue Raiders are coming off an 81-64 road loss at No. 8 Freed-Hardeman and are 6-11 and 2-10. The Raiders are 1-5 in road play this year.

 A poor second half at Lindsey Wilson back in early December cost the Wildcats as the Blue Raiders outscored the Cats 60- 38 enroute to a 103-75 victory. Bethel had trailed 43-37 at halftime.

The Wildcat shot 49 percent from the floor but could not keep pace with the Blue Raiders who shot a blistering 66 percent from the field. LWC knocked down 12 three-pointers while the Wildcats hit three treys on the night.

Jose Nazario led Bethel with 16 points. Tyler Neely followed with 14 points. Dimitrije Stojanovic had 13 points.

Payton Cundiff had a game high 27 points for LWC. Elijah Jordan was on target for 26 points for the Blue Raiders.

It will be the 14th meeting between the two programs with LWC holding an 8-5 advantage in the series.

Chris Starks is in his third season as Lindsey Wilson's men's varsity head coach. He is 22-46 with the Blue Raiders.
