The Wildcats, playing shorthanded due to injuries and illness led 16-15 after the first 10 minutes but a Freed-Hardeman 31-9 run the remainder of the half gave Freed a 46-25 margin at the break.
Bethel was never able to close the gap in the second half and suffered the conference loss.

Connor Guthrie led Bethel with 12 points while Brennon Marsh followed with 10 points and a game high nine rebounds. Geraldo Lane led Freed with a game high 16 points.
Coach Jeff Britt commented. "Give FHU a lot of credit. I thought they played well. We gave up too many easy shots around the rim. I was disappointed in our inability to stop them and our overall lack o defense all night long. We have a tough one Saturday at home and we hope to get people back to full speed after a rash of illness that has affected us."
The Cats return to play Saturday hosting Life at 2 p.m.
Coach Britt enters the game with 498 career wins.
