Bethel Bass Team Alum Featured on Cover of Lew’s

Bethel University's Tristan McCormick is featured on front cover of the 2024 Lew's national sales catalog.

Tristan, a former fishing star on the Bethel Bass team turned professional angler just before graduating from Bethel in 2022.

While a standout fisherman on Bethel's team, Tristan had several top five tournament placements and won the prestigious Bassmasters Classic Bracket his junior year at Bethel. He also became the very first college angler to win a berth into the Bassmasters Classic both as a college angler the again in his first year as a touring professional angler. 

"We are so very proud of Tristan",  said Head Coach Garry Mason, "It has been a pleasure to have coached Tristan in college and now to get to watch him compete as a professional angler and to see him become one of the young guns of professional fishing is fabulous."

Tristan is once again fishing on the Bassmasters professional tour and can be seen fishing across the nation on ESPN for Bassmasters.

Mason added, " We wish Tristan and all of his former teammates from Bethel University great success as they continue to fish and compete professionally."
