History of Bethel Athletics

Bethel University is a member of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) and competes in the Mid-South Conference in all sports. Bethel was a charter member of the VSAC (Volunteer State Athletic Conference).

Prior to competing in the Mid-South Conference, Bethel played in the TranSouth Conference, Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) and Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC).

Athletic scholarships are available and are awarded by each sport's coach. To be eligible for an athletic scholarship, a student athlete must meet the NAIA eligibility requirements of at least two of the following three criteria: 18 Composite on the ACT, 2.00 Grade Point Average, and/or be ranked in the top 50% of your graduating class.

We encourage you to visit our sports' websites frequently to stay abreast of happenings and events! The Wildcats have a long rich history of success in intercollegiate athletics, winning the 2008 NAIA men's soccer national championship and being represented in the national tournament by our men's golf, women's basketball and men's basketball teams. We have been crowned conference champions in men's basketball, women's basketball, football, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball and volleyball.
